Sports Illustrated cover model Kate Upton is still checking her schedule to see if she can go to prom with Jake Davidson of Los Angeles, but she did make a date with golf legend Arnold Palmer.

The 20-year-old was invited to attend the first round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational Golf Tournament on Thursday in Orlando, Fla., according to Fox Sports. Palmer, 83, and Upton are going to have dinner together and will also discuss co-starring in a commercial to promote Palmer's drink called Tee.

During her Florida trip Upton will visit the Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies as well.

Florida native Upton and her family are big Palmer fans, according to Golf.com. Palmer is also friends with the father of Upton's manager, Lisa Benson, and helped Benson get her current job at IMG.

When discussing hid date with Upton, Palmer held up a copy of the latest Sports Illustrated issue that the model on the cover and said, "Did you see this? She's coming here. Did you know that?" 

His friend and another golf legend, Dow Finsterwald, said of the Tee promotion idea with Upton, "No offense, Arnold, but I think she's going to sell a lot more tea than you."

This is the 35th Anniversary of the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
