It has been a little more than a month since VH1 lost its Mob Wives star Angela “Big Ang” Raiola. Now the question has been raised of who will be the recipients of her assets amid speculation that she had a tough marriage with her husband, Neil Murphy.

One insider said that despite reports, Murphy doesn’t have negative motives.

“I know Neil pretty well, and I don’t think he will go after Ang’s money,” they said Tuesday. “I think he wants the kids to have it. He was never after Ang’s money. The show just edited it a weird way.”

In fact, Murphy has told Entertainment Tonight recently that it was an adjustment getting used to Big Ang’s new status.

“It was a crazy life at the end, you know. We were regular people, then she became a celebrity. It was kind of a crazy life being married to her, but it was good. I would never change anything.”

While rumors claimed that Murphy and Raiola were on the outs when she passed away (Big Ang said they were separated earlier this year), he has cleared the air and said that he was by her side until the end.

The insider also added that Raiola, “pushed him away because she didn’t want him to see her dying.”

Raiola’s sister Janine Detore also told Radar Online that there was no ill will between the spouses.

“My sister would never ever keep a grudge or hard feelings for anybody. She was just like that. You could do anything to her and she would be like, ‘Okay.’”
