As Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin continue to face divorce rumors as a new episode of Teen Mom 2 reveals the mother of two recently suffered a miscarriage.

While filming Teen Mom 2 season seven at the end of last year, Lowry and her husband conceived what would have been their second child together (Lowry is also mom to 6-year-old Isaac from her previous relationship with Jo Rivera), but sadly, they lost the baby.

"You know how much I wanted that baby," Marroquin tells his wife in a sneak peek at an upcoming episode of the show.

After a rocky season six, Lowry and Marroquin were on the verge of a split, but judging by their baby news, the couple was doing well by the end of filming.

“I think Javi and I went through a really rough patch that started right before we started filming the season, but ultimately we made it through,” Lowry explained to Us Weekly last July after filming Teen Mom 2 season six.

At the time, Lowry and Marroquin had moved to Delaware, a far drive from their friends and family, and understandably, the adjustment to their new environment was a struggle.

“I just think it was trying to get on the same parenting page with Lincoln, and Lincoln was probably only 6 months old [at the time],” she explained. “And I think it was easier for me to make friends in Delaware, because I would go to my breastfeeding support group, CrossFit, stuff like that. And for him, he’s at work all day. So I think that’s, it really was taking a toll on him at that time.”

“There was a point where I was like, ‘You’re going to go to work one day and me and the kids are going to be gone,’” she recalled telling Marroquin. “But I think there was a turning point when his mom and his sister sat him down, and they sat him down and they were just like, ‘This is what it is. We’re surprised that she hasn’t left you,’ kind of deal. So when I came home one day, he was just completely different and I was like, this is really weird. Like I don’t know how one conversation could change it. And he was like, ‘My mom and my sister put it in perspective for me. You’re not being crazy.’ So I was kind of happy that he acknowledged it. I mean, it obviously takes two, I was a part of it. But there was a point where I think he was contributing more to the arguing.”

Whatever the case, Lowry and Marroquin are once again facing rumors of a split due to a scene from the show, in which they were seen arguing before Lowry opts to have dinner with Riviera rather than go home, and Marroquin's recent hang out sessions with another woman.
