The 100 is cooking up a dangerous alliance for "Stealing Fire."

Polis is on the verge of choosing a new Commander, and viewers should be entirely unsurprised to find out that the Conclave will not go as planned. Ontari (Rhiannon Fish) is back in town, and the Ice Nation's nightblood will quickly turn the Grounder capital upside down. Caught in the middle of the chaos, Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and Murphy (Richard Harmon) will have to team up if they wish to turn the tide.

"[Their partnership is] going to be interesting. I think that's something the fans can look forward to big time, honestly," Harmon told EnStars at WonderCon. "Those two characters are so different, but similar in a way [because] Clarke and Murphy are both kind of no-nonsense characters. They're both kind of going after what they want, just in different ways. I think it's going to be very interesting for fans to see how we interact."

The CW drama debuted the first 13 minutes of Thursday's episode during The 100's WonderCon panel on Sunday, and the clip highlighted just how far Murphy has come since season 1. He's still as abrasive and snarky as ever, but his homicidal edge is now tempered by what can only be described as compassion (see video here). Considering how wrecked Clarke is over Lexa's (Alycia Debnam-Carey) death, Murphy's new attitude will hopefully go a long way in helping our heroine keep a level head.

"The next episode is going to be tricky," Taylor told EnStars. "It's so hard for her with what she's going through with Lexa's death but also with Ontari barging back into our lives rather rudely and claiming to be the commander. That is a huge part of the story. She's going to have to somehow find a way to put her grief aside and move on."
