Rowan Blanchard will play Riley Matthews on Girl Meets World. She tweeted a message and photo of her television parents' wedding rings on March 21 regarding the new spinoff of Boy Meets World.

The new show will take off this year and features the 13-year-old going through her teenage stages as the daughter of the married couple, Cory and Topanga Matthews. Cory married his childhood sweetheart almost 15 years ago in the series finale of the Disney hit. The couple, played by Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel, was excited to take on the acting role of parents, with Savage posting on Twitter, "I'm going to be a father! Well, on TV at least. The Boy Meets World sequel is officially happening!"

Fishel, 33, wrote on her blog about the excitement at returning to the show after so long, stating, "Those years were among the most warm, hilarious, insightful, educational years of my life and I wouldn't trade them for the world."

The pilot is still in its "very early stages" of development and while the Matthews couple have already signed on for their roles as parents, it is unclear when the show will be broadcasted.
