AMC's The Walking Dead will make its return on Sunday night with an all-new episode titled, This Sorrowful Life.

With just two more episodes to go in season three, there will surely be some twists and turns that many of the series' closest fans will not expect.

While the AMC network has done a fairly exceptional job at minimizing the outbreak of spoilers, two individuals attached to the show have dropped hints on what lies ahead to in the next couple of weeks.

According to The Stir, the season three finale "won't be what people expect," and almost all of the program's characters are indeed fair game when it comes to being killed off.

According to The Windsor Star, soon to be departing showrunner Glen Mazzara said that the current season was approached as an "historical novel" that would serve to build "the first major battle between surviving groups in the aftermath of this zombie apocalypse."

"Everyone's in play now, everyone's on stage, everybody has a stake in it and I think it'll be a very interesting, surprising ending for the fans. I know it won't be what people will expect but I think hopefully it'll be emotionally satisfying," Mazzara explained.

Dallas Roberts, who plays the role of Woodbury's Milton, dished to Wet Paint about the conclusion of the current season, and what fans should expect from it.

"The Walking Dead fans will not feel cheated by the finale. It's not a soft close for sure. As [the season] starts to wrap up, it gets stronger, crazier and weirder. Although you'll never see it coming, when it cuts to black at the end of season three, there will be millions of mouths agape."

The Walking Dead will air its next episode on Sunday, March 24 at 9 p.m. EDT on the AMC network.  A sneak peek of the upcoming installment can be viewed below.
