Police came to Paris Hilton's home after a false alarm notified them of a break-in on Sat. March 23, TMZ reported. The incident is referred to as "swatting", which is when swat teams are called to celebrity homes after receiving multiple prank calls notifying them of a crime.

Police were called Saturday evening informing them someone broke into Hilton's home in Los Angeles, even though the 32-year-old is currently in Miami. Cops have been prank-called in the recent past with similar stories in regards to Ashton Kutcher, Justin Bieber, Chris Brown, Clint Eastwood, and others, according to Mail Online.

The crime is currently under investigation.

While concerns regarding Hilton becoming a swat victim clog the internet, the actress has been attending the Ultra Music Festival, tweeting about her Miami trip and meeting Ziggy 420, the oldest DJ in the world.

There was no mention of anyone being armed, although this has been the case in the past.

More serious than prank calling schemes in the news featured a dozen celebrities reportedly having had their personal financial information hacked and published online in a cyber-crime called "doxxing."

The unnamed website has reportedly posted the stars' social security numbers, mortgage amounts, credit card information, car loans, and other important banking information.
