For the third addition of Marvel's Iron Man starring Robert Downey, Jr. it appears the superhero won't be fighting for good alone.

In the trailer that debuted during the Kid's Choice Awards, Tony Stark is ready for action as he springs into his armor and says, "You know it's moments like these that I realize what a superhero I am."

The heavy metal music is upbeat and uplifting, Stark is confident and composed as at one point he says "send them all," which leads to a shot of a large group of people in Iron Man style armor, ready to fight,

Compared to previous trailers, this trailer shows Stark as a more positive hero. In another trailer, Stark explains that he can't sleep at night and he has nightmares. He also says in the trailer that he hopes he can protect the one thing he can't live without, to which the camera shows Gwyneth Paltrow.

Don Cheadle playing Rhodey will become the Iron Patriot, assisting his best friend Tony Stark in battle again. In the second Iron Man, Rhodey joined Stark in battle wearing the War machine armor.

Iron Man 3 director Shane Black described the new villain, Mandarin, as not necessarily someone who is Chinese, but someone who has studied ancient arts of warfare.

"He represents every terrorist in a way, but he specifically has crafted himself in the manner of the Mandarin, of the warlord, and I think that's great because you get to do the comic book [version of the villain], but yet you don't have to deal with the specifics of the Fu Man Chu stereotyping," he said, according to Movieline.
