After much speculation and great anticipation, fans' dreams have come true as Charlize Theron is set to join Fast and Furious 8 in a villainous role.

Nothing definitive has been revealed about the part so far, but she will definitely be part of the antagonistic side.

Variety confirmed from inside sources that Theron had finally agreed to the part after perusing a finished draft of the script.

In other related news, it was recently announced that Game of Thrones' Kristofer Hivju is set to star as the lead antagonist in the Furious 7 sequel. According to a report by The Wrap, Hivju will be playing the part of the leader of the villains in the movie.

In February, Deadline had reported that the movie was looking to cast a solo female villain for this movie and they had Theron in mind. This addition to Fast and Furious 8 could make things very exciting, especially given Theron's record playing gritty roles, most recently blowing audiences minds away as Imperator Furiosa in Mad Max: Fury Road. She has also played the steely villainous part in Snowhite and the Huntsman as Queen Ravenna.

In other news, Jason Statham is also set to return as Deckard Shaw, the main villain in Furious 7.

Statham had confirmed the news about his return earlier last year. Making an appearance for the launch of the Fast and Furious based theme ride, 'Supercharged,' at Universal Studios Hollywood, he even dished some about the franchise's success.

The actor to Access Hollywood on the red carpet talking about Furious 7's immense success.

"Yeah, it just shows the fanbase is very unique. They really do relate to the characters. They love these characters. They've followed them for years and years," Statham said.

The actor also talked his excitement at returning for the next movie in the franchise.

"We're already talking about doing another one, Part 8. I'm a newcomer, I just got invited to the party on this last one. It is nice to know I'll be doing another."

Furious 7 opened in theaters on April 3, 2015.
