Although it's been a very short while since the finale of Season 2 of How to Get Away With Murder, some information about the next chapter has already been coming through.

Most recently, showrunner Pete Nowalk addressed a pertinent question about Season 3 of How to Get Away With Murder that is on everybody's minds. Will Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) continue working with her chosen few first year students, or are we looking at a fresh brood in the next chapter?

In a recent chat with TVLine, Nowalk revealed that the question was indeed relevant and hinted that Annalise was likely to continue working with her current crew despite the fact that they are first years and would most likely be moving on. Nowalk gave pretty compelling reasons for how and why the crew would stick together, but he didn't entirely dismiss the idea of a new batch of students.

"I'm open to that, but I also don't see how [any new students] could be as intimately involved in Annalise's life as these five have. Also, there's no formula to this show. Does Annalise want to continue being a professor? Does the school still want her there? Do [the Keating Five] want to stay in law school? All valid questions," he said. "I just don't want it to feel like we're making a show that's got a formula: 'Here's a new crop of students, and they're going to murder someone else!' Yes, the show is outrageous and we do over-the-top things, but these [existing] characters are bonded for life."

In other news related to Season 3, TVLine reported that Conrad Ricamora, who plays Oliver, Connor's boyfriend, has signed on to play a series regular. The entertaiment website also spoke to Nowalk about Oliver's character arc.

"[Oliver] has a new lease on life... not only meeting Connor, but also his [HIV-positive] diagnosis," Nowalk said. "All of it has made him look at his life and say, 'What do I really want?' He wants a little bit more excitement. He wants to feel passionate about his job. He doesn't want to be bored."

The Season 2 finale episode, "Anna Mae," aired on March 17.
