Actors Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have caused speculation that they married in secret after a ring swap, but Jolie said they didn't.

After going on a humanitarian trip to Africa earlier this week, Jolie, 37, wore a simple gold band instead of her $500,000 engagement ring, according to TMZ.

But on March 27, when Jolie was approached by TMZ, she very simple denied that she and Pitt got married.

As she was walking into a car, a reporter asks, "Is that a wedding ring, Angelina?"

Jolie said, "No, it's not."

Jolie and Pitt, 48, have been together for seven years and raise six children together. Pitt said the couple would get married soon, but never set and exact month or date, according to People.

They got engaged in Spring 2012. According to the magazine, Pitt said in November 2012, "I am getting more pressure from my kids, and it is something I want to do within their lifetime, but I also feel like the time has come."

He also said, "The time is nigh. It's soon. I got a good feeling about it."

Jolie was meeting with young girls and women in the Congo for four days. She was there to bring attention to the rape problems there and returned to Los Angeles on Wednesday, according to People.
