After Laurel's (Katie Cassidy) tragic exit, many are wondering if Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) will return to team Arrow in this hour of great need.

In fact, fans are also asking another question: will this tragedy bring Felicity back to Oliver (Stephen Amell) in Season 4 of Arrow?

In a recent interview with TVLine, the showrunners addressed all this speculation surrounding Felicity's course of action.

Showrunner Marc Guggenheim revealed that Felicity will actually be overturn one of her decisions of the two, i.e. either return to team Arrow or get back together with Oliver. "There are two issues," he said. "She's broken up with Oliver and she's also broken up with the team essentially. And in Episode 19 we'll see the undoing of one of those decisions."

Executive Producer Wendy Mericle seconded Guggenheim's suggestion and also hinted at the fact that it was more likely that Felicity will return to the team.

"One does not mean the other is going to happen," Mericle said. "She could come back to the team and that does not mean that she's back together with Oliver."

Mericle went on to assert that Felicity had motivations to return to the team.

"We started off this season with Felicity really wanting to come back and do this because she herself enjoys this kind of vigilante lifestyle, but that is separate from Oliver," she said. "In [the Season 4 premiere], he didn't want to; it was more about her making herself happy than anything else. So she'll be grappling in some ways with that."

Mericle also assured fans that they would get a sense of where Felicity and Oliver will be headed as the season draws to the close, as we did in the premiere of Season 4. The episodes "will echo [the premiere] in terms of where a lot of the characters end up," Mericle said, "specifically Oliver and Felicity."

The next episode, entitled "Canary Cry," is set to air on April 6.
