One of Tom Hardy's co-stars had generous things to say about him.

On Friday, TV3 posted details from actor Matthias Schoenaerts who worked with Hardy in The Drop. Not only did he mention that Hardy is very dedicated to his work, but he's extremely creative in how he gets things done.

"Tom is a bada-s actor in the purest sense of the word," Schoenaerts told Britain's Closer magazine. "He's inspiring to work with. He's very committed, very imaginative, very sensitive and at the same time very brutal. I don't mean that in a violent way, I mean it in the sense that he's very authentic in his expression. That's what I liked about Tom; he's direct, there's no filter."

This news might come off as a little surprise for some since Hardy didn't have the greatest reputation on set of Mad Max: Fury Road, so it appears. When his co-star Charlize Theron dished to WSJ Magazine on what it was like working with the actor, she gave the impression that it wasn't all that pleasant. But in a way, that could've made the movie a lot better.

"From what I hear, he's not like that on every movie- I hear he's had good experiences," the actress said about Hardy. "Maybe the movie is what it is because we struggled so much with each other, and those characters had to struggle so much with each other. If we were chum-chum, maybe the movie would have been 10 times worse."

Besides these projects, Hardy's other credits include Inception, The Dark Knight Rises and The Revenant where he earned his first Oscar nomination.

The actor is also on FX series Taboo where he plays James Keziah Delaney who builds a shipping empire in the 1800s.
