Jessica Simpson was told by her mother to keep an eye on her sister Ashlee Simpson and make sure she stays out of trouble.

The 32-year-old singer was accompanied by Ashlee on a promotional tour for Jessica Simpson Girl's Collection in Charlotte, N.C. last weekend, according to Radar Online, The two sisters also went for a family dinner at BLT Steak at the Ritz-Carlton.

With the help of her family, 28-year-old Ashlee has laid off on her party lifestyle. Their mother Tina still asked Jessica to stay by her side, just in case.

"Tina's asked Jessica to look out for Ashlee and make sure she doesn't start partying too hard once again," a source close to the Simpson family said.

Jessica is in her second pregnancy and doesn't like going out to the city very often, acting as a positive role model for Ashlee. The source said, "Instead, she prefers family nights in relaxing and has encouraged Ashlee to join them when they are all together, which she has been doing."

According to the report, Ashlee has been looking healthier and more like herself.

Jessica revealed earlier this month that she's expecting a boy.
