Reality star couple Tenley Molzahn and Kiptyn Locke has broken up after dating for over two years.

Molzahn was a runner-up on season 14 of The Bachelor and almost got engaged to Jake Pevelta until he chose Vienna Girardi. Locke was a runner-up on season 5 of the Bachelorette with Jillian Harris, who chose Ed Swiderski instead.

The couple said in a statement to People, "With love and respect, we decided to take a break in January. We are both focused on philanthropic and personal growth at this time, wishing each other the best. Thank you for respecting our privacy."

The couple starred together in ABC's Bachelor Pad in 2010.

According to the blog Everday Southernista, Molzahn suggested in September that the next Bachelor not propose to any of his contestants.

"My one piece of advice is, don't get engaged on the show! Get to know one another outside of cameras and the pressure, it will make a difference in the track record," she said.

She also predicted that Sean Lowe, who is now competing on Dancing with the Stars, would be chosen to be the Bachelor. She wrote, "I think he will be a classy guy, but my fear is that his heart will be taken advantage of. I hope they find him some 'good girls.' "
