Actress Shiri Appleby had her baby girl on March 23 and has decided to name her Natalie Bouader Shook.

The baby was delivered in Los Angeles. She weighed 6 pounds 20 ounces and was 20.5 inches long, Us Weekly reports.

The name Natalie ironically sounds close to the name of Appleby's character, Natalia, in the second season of HBO's Girls. In the series, Appleby played the new girlfriend of Adam, Hannah's (Lena Dunham) ex.

Appleby, 34, also starred in the show Roswell and Chicago Fire and is engaged to chef Jon Shook. The couple announced their pregnancy last December but waited until the baby was born to figure out its gender.

Appleby told the magazine in December of not wanting to find out the baby's sex, "He really wanted to do it and it sounded like fun. It's really made the whole pregnancy a heightened excitement because you just don't know what it's going to be!"

The actress said of her daughter to Us Weekly, "She's heaven." She also said, "I'm beyond thrilled."

She also told the magazine that their pregnancy made her bond with Shook stronger, ""When you see this guy going to all the doctor's appointments with you and you tell him you're feeling a certain way and two minutes later he's looked it up on the Internet to tell you that it's normal, you realize that you're really starting a family with somebody and it's just - there's no way to look at that person and not be more in love."
