A first look still of Richard Belzer's return in Season 17 of Law & Order: SVU was recently unveiled.

Belzer who will reprise his role as Detective John Munch, is seen in the still with Fin, played by Ice T. The picture was exclusively revealed by TV Insider. Belzer also spoke to the publication about returning to series for a guest appearance.

"It was like a family reunion. I felt like I never left. Being with Mariska [Hargitay] and Ice T again was truly a dream come true," he said.

Previously, Entertainment Weekly reported that Belzer, who left after Season 15, will be guest starring in an episode, entitled 'Fashionable Crimes,' set to air on May 4. According to the report, the detective will be brought back to help out with a case dealing with a young model who accuses a famous photographer of abuse. This episode seems like it has been picked from the headlines, i.e. the recent Terry Richardson controversy.

The show's executive producer Warren Leight also spoke about having Belzer back.

"We love having Richard back on set," Leigh said. "This episode was perfect for Munch's cynical eye, and just the right time for him to give Benson [Mariska Hargitay], and Noah, some much needed support."

The promo for 'Fashionable Crimes' was also recently revealed and it shows a photographer molesting a young model, the story further develops with Olivia (Mariska Hargitay) levelling accusations of rape at the photographer.

The episode will air on May 4 on NBC.
