Rihanna and Jay-Z might have been close at one point during their lives (considering the singer was his protege during the early days of her career), but they weren't as close as some people would like to think. In fact, the chart topper reportedly doesn't believe the rumors that the rapper may have cheated on his wife Beyonce.

If you've been living on the moon for the last few days: Beyonce released her most recent album, Lemonade, which features various lyrics about infidelity that a lot of people have interpreted as possibly referencing a real-life rough patch in her marriage to Jay Z. Most famously in the song "Sorry," she makes a reference to a mysterious other woman she describes as "Becky with the good hair."

According to Hollywood Life, Rihanna supposedly thinks that Jay Z is the last person on Earth that would ever cheat on his wife, even though fans have been pointing their fingers at women like fashion designer Rachel Roy and British singer Rita Ora (both of whom Jay Z has been linked with in the past) as "Becky".

A source close to the "Work" told the site: "Rihanna loves Beyonce and respects her as a woman, friend and an artist. The same goes for Jay. He's been nothing but loyal to Rihanna over the years and a true gentleman and she thinks the fans are giving him a raw deal over."

The insider added, "Ri loves that man to pieces and doesn't believe he has it in him to cheat. He's a family man, who loves his wife and that beautiful girl of his."

The tipster further explained, "Like everybody else, Rihanna's an outsider looking in. And from her vantage point, she'd love a man like Jay Z in her life. He's the boss of all bosses; mature, educated and very suave. She places him on a pedestal and believes he's committed to Bey."

And while the Internet has been buzzing with rumors, so far Beyonce hasn't made any comments about "Becky" and who she really is. Rihanna for her part hasn't made any public comments, either.
