She was on her way to him so she could tell him that the happy ending they thought they would never have was finally in their reach, but instead, Nick (Joshua Morrow) will get very different news as far as Sage (Kelly Sullivan) is concerned on The Young and the Restless.

Sage had finally learned the truth about their son, Christian, and knew he was alive and that Sharon (Sharon Case) and Dylan's (Steve Burton) son Sully was really theirs. Livid that Sharon still wanted to find some way to keep the baby for herself so she wouldn't have to break Dylan's heart, Sage stormed out and was on her way to tell Nick the truth, with Sharon right behind her. However, while driving, after trying to call Nick, she dropped her phone, and when she reached for it, she crashed her car.

Now, an unconscious Sage is lying on the ground, while Sharon desperately tried to call 911 to get her some help.

"I'm on highway 11! The car in front of me crashed!" She says while reporting the accident in a preview clip for the Friday, April 29 episode.

While waiting for help, Sage will awaken, and beg Sharon to make a big promise to her. First she will ask to hold Christian again, and she asks Sharon to swear she will tell Nick the truth about the baby being his, something Sharon promises to do.

Then, before help arrives, Sage will take her final breaths, and die with her son in her arms.

Then, after help arrives on the scene and Paul (Doug Davidson) and Dylan confirm Sage is dead, they will realize they need to give the devastating new to Nick that his wife is gone. And Nick, who is totally unsuspecting, will be curious as to why Paul if calling him.

"Hey Paul," he says in the clip. "What's up?"

Now, after already being forced to mourn his son, whom he still believes is dead, he will also be forced to mourn his wife, and the love of his life, as well.

The Young and the Restless airs Monday-Friday at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
