Grab your guns, Dark Matter fans, and prepare to step back aboard the Raza this Fourth of July weekend!

Syfy's amnesiac crew is ready to spring back into action, and fans can catch up with the criminal heroes starting on July 1 at 10 p.m. ET.

One (Marc Bendavid), Two (Melissa O'Neil), Three (Anthony Lemke), Four (Alex Mallari, Jr.), Five (Jodelle Ferland), Six (Roger Cross), and the Android (Zoie Palmer) will return for season 2 this summer, and staging a prison break will be just the start of their problems.

"[When] Dark Matter returns, as the crew of the spaceship, Raza--who started off the series with no memory of who they were or how they came to be on the ship--gets involved in an intergalactic conspiracy, as they search for a device that could prove vital in the upcoming war," TV Insider reported on Friday.

Last time we saw the crew of the Raza, One through Five we're reeling from the sting of betrayal. Six remanded his shipmates to the Galactic Authority in the season 1 finale, and the season 2 premiere will pick up in the wake of their arrest. While several members of the team will find themselves behind bars at the Hyprerion-8 prison, others, like Five, will wind up elsewhere.

One thing we know for sure? You will definitely find out what prompted Six to betray his "friends" in such a jaw-dropping fashion.

"There's a lot of satisfaction in the second season with regards to the unanswered themes in season 1," O'Neil promised fans at Toronto Comic Con.

Unlike the rest of her crewmates, Two received a good look at the ship's traitor before being knocked unconscious.

"Two is the only person who wakes up knowing who betrayed us because she has that moment where she saw [Six] before he zaps her out," O'Neil told fans of the first few episodes. "[It's] seeing how that relationship kind of figures itself out and what we do when we're in prison."
