'Snowden' Trailer: A Gordon-Levitt, Shailene Woodley Political Thriller Film [VIDEO]

Directed by Oliver Stone and written by Stone and Kieran Fitzgerald, Snowden is based on the books The Snowden Files by Luke Harding and Time of the Octopus by Anatoly Kucherena. The film tells the story of Edward Snowden, the American computer professional who leaked classified information detailing the NSA's massive surveillance programs. It star Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Shailene Woodley, Melissa Leo, Zachary Quinto, Tom Wilkinson, Scott Eastwood, Logan Marshall-Green, Timothy Olyphant, Ben Schnetzer, LaKeith Lee Stanfield, Rhys Ifans and Nicolas Cage.

The film is scheduled to be released on September 16, 2016.
