One of the stars of Nashville revealed what's next for her character, which comes with good and bad moments.

As the series finishes up its fourth season, Aubrey Peeples-- who plays Layla on the series-- dished to ABC about what fans can expect for her character in the remaining episodes. As for the possibility if Layla will become the next big star, Peeples laughed and said, "We'll see."

Layla's work as a performer is continuing to skyrocket at this point as she makes more connections in the music industry. But her personal life is still bound to have some difficulties so it might be a black and white life for Layla right now.

"Layla's music career is starting to take off. She has a lot more music coming out, I got to sing a lot more songs this season so I think that things are looking up in her musical career," Peeples said. "But in her personal life, lots of drama is still going to happen before the end of the season."

The actress also dished on her life growing up as a performer and how she has the blessing of taking her love of acting and singing into one program.

"I've always wanted to pursue a music career just as much as acting," Peeples said. "But kind of for all of us, the acting opportunities just arose as opposed to music opportunities and now through the show, thankfully, we've gotten to weasel our way into the music industry, which is something that we were all planning on doing, we just didn't have the chance to do yet."

See the interview with Peeples below where she also dished on blurring the lines as an actress and stage performer.

Nashville airs on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
