Still on hiatus until its season 6 kicks off, Sons of Anarchy's upcoming plot is still unknown as to what the 13 episodes scheduled to roll out in the fall will consist of.

However, Carter Matt reported that the FX series' upcoming installment will kick off with Clay (Ron Pearlman) incarcerated, and in an unorthodox position.

While Clay's days as SAMCRO's leader are clearly numbered, it seems as though Jax is becoming more and more like him in demeanor.

Executive producer Kurt Sutter elaborated on the fall of Clay to TVLine. However, while the character's demise is apparent, he did say that the writing team is still mulling over exactly how the situation will ultimately unfold.

"The interesting thing is by having the two people he loved most in terms of the club, Juice and Gemma, kind of turn on him ... I do think there was a moment where, even though you despise Clay to an extent, you actually felt sorry for this guy. So yeah, there's a lot of sympathy out there [for his plight]."

In terms of the upcoming season, Sutter went on to say that he's already sent the FX network the season premiere's script for notes, and his creative team is currently in the midst of hammering out the second and third episodes.

Sons of Anarchy is set to make its season 6 premiere in the fall on September 11. Keep checking back for more details. Behind the scenes video footage from season 5 can be viewed below.
