She kept digging into why the recently departed Dr. Wolin would claim that Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) was not the biological father of his newborn son, and now, Katie (Heather Tom) has hit unexpected paydirt by getting the truth out of Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) on The Bold and the Beautiful.  

After Ridge told her that they had used an unknown donor to try and convince her there was nothing sordid to cover up, but reiterated that they wanted that news kept private, Katie then went to Caroline to tell her it was okay since she knew. However, Caroline was unaware of the lie her husband told, and wound up blurting to Katie in a panic that Thomas (Pierson Fode) was Douglas's father. Now, a stunned and surprised Katie will realize that Ridge and Caroline have been keeping the truth a secret from the man who believes Douglas is his little brother, and not his son, and she will warn them that they need to tell him the truth as soon as possible.

"Caroline, he has got to be told," Katie says in a preview clip for the Friday, May 6 episode.

However, when Caroline balks, Katie will once again turn her attentions to Ridge, and tell him she knows the real truth now, encouraging him to be honest with his son, before the lie goes even further.

"You have to tell your son the truth," she says. "You have to tell Thomas the truth."

To try and get her off his back, Ridge may then tell her he will be honest, though when he tracks his son down, he may not tell him he is the father of Caroline's baby-but he will confront him for sleeping with her when he did, letting his son know that he's perfectly aware he had been with his wife.

"I know about that night with Caroline," he says to Thomas in the clip. "I know what happened in that hotel room."

The Bold and the Beautiful airs Monday-Friday at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
