As the beta for Overwatch ends, numerous players have voiced their concerns about the capabilities of one of the game's characters, the monster players know as Bastion. Indeed, with the robot's various modes and its healing factor, defeating the overpowered hunk of metal was found to be a very tricky affair. In fact, players' concerns have been so adamant that Blizzard actually responded by giving tips on how to effectively counter the character.

Since the beta launched, players quickly found out that Bastion was quite overpowered. Between its defense sentry mode and its capability to turn into a rapid-fire turret that could kill off players' characters in a flash, Bastion could also transform into a tank and launch powerful attacks while on the move.

Oh, and the robot also has a very notable healing factor, which basically translated to a nightmare for a number of beta testers.

Thus, players have appealed to Blizzard in order for the developer to nerf the robot, just so Bastion could be kept in line with the rest of the game's cast. Instead of stating that the robot would indeed be powered down, however, Blizzard has responded with tips on how to beat Bastion instead.

According to Blizzard, taking down Bastion is all about character switching and mobility. Thus, if players switch characters depending on Bastion's modes while utilizing characters with traversal abilities, players would be able to deal double damage and possibly even get behind the robot. Of course, if players could get around Bastion, they could easily attack a weak point that appears during the robot's sentry mode.

Blizzard even gave tips on the best characters to tackle the immense task of taking down the robot. According to the developer, Hanzo, Genji and the Widowmaker would be a preferable team to pit against the overpowered robot, mainly due to their unique abilities.

While Blizzard has not confirmed if any changes would be applied to Bastion's power in the actual commercial game, the developer's response to the players' concerns seemingly shows that Bastion would remain the way he is. After all, Overwatch is awesome because of the challenges that it gives its players.

Overwatch is set for a May 24 release date. The game would be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
