Marvel is not going to miss out on a talent as hot as Michael B. Jordan. You wanted him for a Miles Morales iteration of Spider-Man, and while that didn't pan out, the Creed star will enter the MCU with Black Panther.

Ever since Captain America: Civil War hit theaters last week, fans have been buzzing about Chadwick Boseman's Black Panther. The King of Wakanda made his debut against the backdrop of Tony (Robert Downey, Jr.) and Steve's (Chris Evans) little debate, and now that the new hero is in the mix, Marvel has started to roll out casting new for T'Challa's 2018 solo adventure.

Jordan will reunite with director Ryan Coogler as an unspecified character, according to The Hollywood Reporter. As we've seen with numerous MCU characters, Jordan's star power won't necessarily translate into a major role (although we certainly hope it will!).

"It is unclear who Jordan would play but one source told THR that it could be a villain," the site teased. "Marvel had no comment."

Previously shrouded in mist and mystery, Wakanda association with Ultron's vibranium theft in The Avengers: Age of Ultron caused the African nation to move into the spotlight. Now that the Black Panther is working to keep the Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) hidden, the Civil War mid-credit scene may give fans a hint of what's to come for the hero.

"That was always sort of the idea for the end of the movie, and as the movie was being developed, it felt like it would be additionally cool to have that happen in Wakanda - a super advanced place. They've got something that [the Winter Soldier] could go in," Marvel Studios' Kevin Feige told Cinema Blend. "And also, it speaks to Panther's arc. The person that he was out to kill early in the movie, he's now nobly helping. And then, of course, that led organically to a cool moment, where Cap can go, 'Thanks for doing this, but they're going to come get you.'"
