Artists everywhere are still grieving over the death of Prince, one including Ariana Grande.

The pop star opened up to Daily Star in Thursday's report on what it was like when she found out that the "Purple Rain" singer died so suddenly last month. It was a shock for her, but she'll always remember him for his creativity and talent.

"Oh my god, it has been a loss for me," Grande said. "Prince was an artist who showed true creative freedom and challenged all barriers. This last year I've really pushed myself to try new things and take chances and I'll always have Prince as an inspiration."

Grande then opened up on her ability to vocalize other big names in the music business like Celine Dion. At this point, there's another singer out there she would like to try impersonating to see if she'll be able to pull it off.

"I'll have to start practicing Adele," she said. "I hope Adele would think that imitation is the finest form of flattery, but not sure I could pull off an impersonation of her. I love Sam Smith too, but I'm not even going to try that one!"

This week, Grande released her new album Dangerous Woman where it's going to sound nothing like the girl people knew from before-- and the singer is embracing this new change even if others aren't ready for it.

"I'm in a new phase in my life and my music really reflects the changes I've gone through recently," she said. "When you make changes, not everyone is ready for them and sometimes they make people uncomfortable. That's okay as long as the changes work for you and you believe in what you are doing."
