Since both Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton and reality television star Kim Kardashian are due to give birth to her first child in July, reports have been circulating comparing the two expecting mothers and their maternity styles.

The battle of baby bump styles is between an English duches and "Hollywood royalty," according to Daily Mail, though one contender has been receiving more criticism than the other.

Kardashian, 32, - who is expecting her first child with her boyfriend, Kanye West - is known to favour fitted outfits that showcase her curves. Though she continues to wear form-fitting ensembles while pregnant, many have come out to bash her for it. She has received negative feedback regarding her sexy maternity style and responded to the reports on her blog. Addressed specific negative comments about a tight skirt she was reported to have worn, Kardashian wrote the following:

"I saw some comments that the skirt is too tight for the pregnancy and that's ridiculous! I bought this skirt a few sizes bigger and there is plenty of room," she wrote on her blog, according to The Daily Mail. "For any concern that my clothes are too tight, I have so many pieces custom fit for my growing body!"

In regards to her baby bump, she admitted it has "kind of popped" and does not really allow her to cover it up the way she would want. She was, however, praised for the white gown that she wore to an Oscars party.

Middleton, 31, continues to dress of royal elegance leading up to her due date in mid-July. The wife of Prince William wore a red Versace overcoat during her recent trip to Scotland. She paired the outfit with, black tights, black heeled boots, a Strathearn Tartan silk scarf and black Cornelia James gloves. During another outing in the country she wore a blue and grey plaid coat and black heeled boots and William was wearing a blue suit and maroon tie.
