Even though they say there's no such things as bad press (especially given in our Internet and social media-obsessed world these days), there might be such a thing as too much press though and that can have a negative impact on an artist's career these days.

That's probably what Gwen Stefani is thinking to herself as there's a new report that says she's struggling to sell tickets for her upcoming tour, even though her relationship with Blake Shelton has been keeping her the press on a pretty much daily basis.

According to In Touch Weekly on Wednesday, things are not looking good for Stefani's upcoming tour, even though promoters have been pulling out all the stops to get fans to buy tickets.

"Her tour kicks off July 12 in Massachusetts and only 5,000 tickets have been sold in a venue that holds 18,000 - and that was after the huge promotion in which her tickets were being sold discounted on Groupon," a source told the tabloid.

To add insult to injury, the same source also pointed out that Stefani's star power may be faded compared to her glory days. "In the '90s, when she was with No Doubt, she'd sell out stadiums all the time," they said. "That's not the case anymore."

So far Stefani herself has not made any comments about the report or about her upcoming tour for that matter. But we have to wonder if her relationship with Shelton may be the reason for the low ticket sales. Ever since the two got very flirty with each other on NBC's hit singing competition show The Voice, there's been near constant coverage in the entertainment press. Could fans be so overwelmed hearing about Stefani that they have no interest in seeing her in concert?
