She might be one of the most recognizable names in the world, but Jennifer Lopez has had her fair share of ups and downs throughout the years. Even though she's always managed to climb her way back to the top, there's a new report that hints Lopez might be in denial about her past failures, which includes the 2003 box office flop Gigli, which she co-starred in with then boyfriend Ben Affleck.

In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter this week, Lopez tries to brush off the movie - which many call the worst disaster of her career - simply by saying it wasn't that big of a deal.

She said, "I never thought of it as, 'Oh, this is terrible! My career's over!' I just never thought that. I just knew that that movie didn't work and that's all it was."

During that year, both Affleck and Lopez were under some serious public and media scrutiny, as many dubbed the pair "Bennifer" until the actor abruptly called off their wedding only a few days before it was planned.

In her same interview, Lopez also says that the only thing that puts a spoiler on her success is her fame.

"As I get older it bothers me more," the sexy Latina explained. "When you're young it's like a shock at first, and you kind of have anxiety about it, but then you get used to that life and it just becomes your normal life. And now? I think when I had kids and stuff... I wanted a little more freedom to go outside and not have them have to deal with that part of it."
