They were supposed to get married at the Nurse's Ball, following Brad's (Parry Shen) decision to propose to Lucas (Ryan Carnes) there last year, but after Lucas failed to show at the couple's ceremony, tensions ran high on General Hospital.

Brad and Felix (Marc Samuel), as well as Sam (Kelly Monaco) were all on stage along with Lucy (Lynn Herring) to start the ceremony, but Lucas never showed. What no one knew was that after he discovered his mother, Bobbie (Jacklyn Zeman) passed out on the floor backstage, he took her to the hospital, where Finn (Michael Easton) admitted her so she could get some rest and combat a bad case of Vertigo. While Bobbie was sleeping, someone entered her room, prepared to inject her with something, which Lucas walked in on.

Now, Bobbie will wake up from her sleep, and see her son on the floor of her room, after he likely received the injection meant for her, and she will scream for help, which will send Griffin (Matt Cohen) and Finn running into the room, even though it could already be too late.

"I need a doctor right away!" She screams in a preview clip for the Thursday, May 26 episode.

Meanwhile, at the Ball, Brad can't understand why his fiance stood him up at the altar, and is worried about what may have happened to seemingly change his mind. However, he could quickly get a phone call which will inform him that Lucas is now in the hospital, and it will cause him to run out quickly.

"What the hell happened?" He asks in the clip.

Now, the race will be on to save Lucas's life, as the person who tried injecting Bobbie may have injected him instead, and is likely the person who has caused two of Finn's patients to die in recent days, despite his testing them and revealing them to be in good health. If what they planned to inject into Bobbie was lethal, and it was not injected into Lucas, he could die, meaning he and Brad will never get the wedding they hoped to have after all.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
