There's been a chance he could get out of jail thanks to his father's insistence at getting him a fair trial for allegedly raping Ciara (Vivian Jovanni), but Chase could (Jonathan McClendon) walk out of the jail only to immediately find himself in danger on Days of Our Lives.

Even though he admitted he did rape Ciara, Aiden (Daniel Cosgrove) is doing whatever he can to make sure his son isn't wrongfully accused or convicted of a crime he doesn't genuinely believe he could have committed, and his work could get his son temporarily released. But, it won't be long before something else winds up wrong with the teen, after Aiden gets a call that his son has been hospitalized after being attacked and left for dead.

Now, as the battle to save his life goes on, several people could become suspects in the case of assault. The prime one will be Ciara herself, who admitted to her mother, Hope (Kristian Alfonso) that if he was freed, she couldn't be held accountable for her actions, and she wouldn't hesitate to hurt him and make him pay if he came near her again. However, even though she would be the person who is considered to have the most motive for attacking him, she could be innocent.

As Ciara has started getting help to deal with her trauma from the rape, she has also been pushing away Theo (Kyler Pettis), who has been a good friend, and recently, sort of boyfriend to her. But Ciara has learned that despite what happened to her, she has a thing for more unattainable men with a bit of a dark side and dangerous streak, something Theo can't provide for her because he's a good guy. Theo was heartbroken by her revelation and later decision that she just wanted them to go back to being friends. As a result of his heartbreak, and perhaps a misguided attempt to try and prove to her he too can be dark, he could wind up seeking Chase out himself and being the one who attacks him.

Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on CBS.
