Jenelle Evans is seen skipping her son Jace's event in a sneak peek of next week's Teen Mom 2, but why did she do it?

Following the release of four sneak peeks of next week's son for each of the series' stars, a report claimed Evans was actually in South Padre Island, Texas while Jace tended to a derby. After the photo was shared, Evans posted the following message and photos to her many fans and followers on Twitter.

According to a report by Starcasm earlier this week, Evans is seen discussing Jace's event with her mother, Barbara, and her boyfriend, David Eason, and during the chat, Evans explains that she will be unable to attend the event because she's going to spring break.

“I have something planned that I’ve had planned for two months,” Evans explains.

“What?!” a frustrated Babara asks.

“It’s spring break,” Jenelle fires back.

Months ago, Evans spoke of her ongoing custody issues with Barbara, who has had full custody of her child since shortly after his birth.

"Jace recently asked me: 'When can I live with you again?' " Evans told PEOPLE Magazine in March. "I said: 'Well, hopefully by the summer you'll be living here.' But that's all I told him – I don't want him to know too much right now 'cause it's really detrimental."

"We really don't talk other than if it's about Jace, because if we are around each other too much we start arguing," Evans says.

Also during next week's show, Evans discusses a mystery illness with Eason.

“I’m so sick of this s—t dude, I’m so sick of being sick,” she explains, via OK! Magazine. “Now I have wait another week, go home, be in pain the whole time.”
