Leah Messer and Corey Simms' wife, Miranda, are at odds, but has the tension between them led her and Corey to leave the show?

Following filming on season seven, a couple of reports surfaced claiming Corey and Miranda have grown increasingly frustrated with MTV's editing and may be cutting back on filming in the future.

Although a season eight renewal has yet to be confirmed, fans may have seen the last of Corey and Miranda.

“Corey feels MTV did him dirty,” a friend of Corey's told Radar Online earlier this year. “He thinks they had the perfect opportunity to show viewers, ‘This is what happens when you get on drugs, this is the reality.’ Instead, they made it seem like Corey was constantly attacking Leah for no reason.”

Throughout Teen Mom 2 season six, Messer was seen slurring her words, nearly falling asleep while holding a baby and seemingly losing grip of her life. And while she eventually entered rehab, denying rumors of drug abuse, sources close to Corey claimed her on-screen antics were only the tip of the iceberg.

As a result, the source explained, Corey and Miranda decided to cut back on filming during season seven. 

“Corey told MTV just what he thought about the situation, and said that he and Miranda would not film nearly as much as in past seasons,” the friend explained. “Producers understood.”

As for whether or not they'll return for season eight, that has yet to be revealed. That said, they didn't show up for filming on last month's reunion special, which will air when the season concludes.

“There was really no reason for Leah’s guys to go this time,” a source told The Ashley's Reality Roundup in April. “Last time, Jeremy’s segments didn’t even air. It’s a huge effort to fly across country for them, since they are in West Virginia, arrange for child care, take off work, etc, just for a weekend of shooting. They don’t care about the free trip or anything at this point. They’d rather stay home.”
