Madonna might have gotten lots of backlash for her controversial Prince tribute at the Billboard Music Awards. But she has no problem clapping back; even when it comes to BET after the network through quite a bit of shade her way.

Madonna flaunted a jacket that the late singer gifted her with.

She added the caption, "Wearing the jacket Prince gave me back in the day without permission from BET. lol! God bless America."

Her post comes exactly a week after BET posted a shady video moments after Madonna wrapped up her performance on May 22.

It added the caption, "Yeah we saw that. Don't worry. We got you."

Intersetingly enough, BET has deleted the post. But fans had mixed reactions on Madonna's performance and post.

"What? BET is still around? I wouldn't know. Well [forget] them."

"Your performance was crap. Prince deserves better. Not white or black. Just better."

"People just wanted a tribute that encompassed all of [Prince's] talent. Unfortunately yours did not."

"Prince was lucky an [icon] like Madonna gave him a tribute."

"Madonna is a legend! No one can take that from her. But she needs to stop acting like it's a [Black-and-white] thing!"

Questlove introduced the tribute with a poetic piece.

Stevie Wonder also joined Madonna on the stage as they closed out the tribute with a special rendition of Purple Rain.

The musical world was shocked after Prince was found unconscious in an elevator of his Minnesota estate- Paisley Park. He was 57. Authorities are still looking into his death. Suicide has been ruled out but investigators are looking into a possible overdose.
