Robert Pattinson made girlfriend Kristen Stewart's 23rd birthday extra special- he threw her a party at one of her favorite restauarants.

Pattinson, 26, held Stewart's birthday gathering at Malo Taqueria Mexican Restaurant in Los Angeles on April 10. Stewart reportedly eats there regularly and is usually "sweet and low key" when she goes there, said a source.

An eyewitness revealed the details about Stewart's exclusive 23rd birthday party.

Guests arrived at 7 pm and ate a wide variety of special Mexican fanfare available for both meat-eaters and vegetarians. The Twilight stars ordered zucchini blossoms all night for their vegan guests.

"They had a ton of margaritas, lots of spicy cucumber drinks which Malo is famous for and lots of sangria which is what Kristen usually orders," a partygoer told Hollywood Life. "They ate ground beef and pickle tacos, chips and guacamole, lobster tacos, and pork carnitas."

The party's music selection included a variety from "indie rock, (to) lots of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Father John Misty," the source said. "It got pretty loud, it was a great party!"

As for Stewart and Pattinson, the couple looked "so in love," said the source. They were surprisingly not joined at the hip while hosting a crowd of people in the 20s to 30s age range who were dressed "hip."

"They were so cute together, they weren't glued to each other's side," the partygoer said. "Kristen was being a good hostess and working the room. But whenever they were standing near each other, they were touching. Rob had his arm draped around her a lot and every once in a while they'd sneak a kiss. They both looked so in love!"

The highlight of the night was when Pattinson stood up and thanked everyone for coming out.

"Rob thanked people for coming to his girl's birthday," the source revealed.
