Lazaro Arbos was eliminated from "American Idol" season 12 on Thursday and only girls remain in the competition which means that a female contestant will win the show for the first time since Jordin Sparks in 2007.

Heading into American Idol elimination round Thursday night, only six contestants remained in the show.

Lazaro was visible upset after "American Idol" producer called his performances "Ambien Milkshake."

Last night the contestants performed two songs, the first round they sang tunes writte by Burt Bacharach and Hal David and on the second, they performed songs they wish they had written.

While Arbos landed on the Top 3 spots on the previous episode, he failed to impress the judges on yesterday's episode and was outshined by the girls, according to Keith Urban.

The top two voted singers tonight,(after more than 30 million votes were cast, according to Ryan Seacrest), were Kree Harrison and Candice Glover. Angie Miller and Janelle Arthur are the middle two and Amber Holcomb is at the bottom.
