Justin Bieber's friend King Kevi released a statement this week responding to rumors of him having relations and spending time with the Boyfriend singer's ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez.

Kevi said the accusations have circulated among publications because he would not hand over a party non-disclosure agreement to interested outlets, according to Perez Hilton.

The rapper/producer said one news outlet paid off Gomez's security personnel in order to obtain surveillance video of a party they were both at, and then use the footage to spin a story making him look bad. Kevi accused outlets of retailing against him and portraying him in a negative light only because he refused to give them the desired non-disclosure agreement.

He addressed the obtained surveillance video and explained what really happened that night, contrary to what reports noted.

Kevi said he was driving through the area of Gomez's home and had to drop off some money that he owed a friend, who was at the Gomez's house that night for a party. Kevi's friend was not answering his phone so he decided to stop by the house.

Paparazzi then started chasing him and taking pictures, while he was waiting for his friend to return his call.

The friend said to bring his car to the gate of Gomez's home, the exact moment shown in photos circulating the Web. Kevin said Bieber has not read any of the stories about the incident and regardless, he would not have gotten mad. Kevi would not hang out with Gomez and they merely have mutual friends, he said.

He released a statement via PerezHilton.com to address the recent rumors:

"The reports about me staging the Selena Gomez incident are false, I simply stopped by to drop off some money to a friend who was at the party and a photographer was intruding my space on multiple occasions so I chased him off. I don't even know Selena like that we've met maybe a few times through mutual friends and I wouldn't do that to Justin. Some media outlets are trying to make me look bad in the press and editing the security footage in a way to get some secret information and documents that I have, but I wouldn't give out that information to them."

Kevi on Thursday thanked Perez Hilton via Twitter for getting his "tru story out" and letting him tell his side of what happened.
