A happy ending for Pretty Little Liars Aria and Ezra is a non-starter, at least for now.

Aria (Lucy Hale) journey back to her hometown with her life all figured out - good job, a steady boyfriend, and any thoughts of Ezria far from her mind - but Rosewood has an unfortunate knack for turning everything you love upside down and inside out. While Ezria 'shippers were thrilled when the former couple turned up the heat in the season 6 finale, viewers will be saddened to learn that their little tryst won't immediately knock Liam (Roberto Aguire) out of the running.

"When we come back Aria is still with Liam, who is a long-time boyfriend, [but] Aria can't get Ezra off her brain," Hale teased, according to TV Guide. "You get to see a little bit of a love triangle and you get to see who she chooses."

For fans, it's an obvious choice. Aria, however, will be a little pre-occupied with Hanna's (Ashley Benson) disappearance. And who is also involved in the hunt for Uber A? Here's a hint: his name isn't Liam. Sounds like somebody will be spending enough time with a certain someone for them to head towards a little somethin' somethin'.

"I think there's always a chance," Hale told E! Online in regards to the Ezria 'ship's chances of picking up steam. "There's that undeniable chemistry between the two of them."

First, however, Aria must contemplate how far she's willing to go to save a fellow Liar when Pretty Little Liars returns with 'Tick Tock, Bitches."

"After Hanna's shocking abduction by 'Uber A,' the PLLs and company desperately race against the clock to save one of their own. The only way to do this is by handing over evidence of Charlotte's real murderer to 'Uber A,'" Freeform teased. "In order to do so, the girls must decide what blatant lines they are willing to cross that they have never breached before; and once they cross that line, there is no turning back."
