Leave it to Kanye West to make headlines, even when he's not trying. There's a new report that says the rapper's planned 2 a.m. concert on the streets of New York City was canceled after complete chaos erupted following a tweet he sent out only an hour before he was to begin his set.

According to The New York Post on Monday, fans were left angry and agitated over the utter chaos that ensued. Kanye posted a tweet that simply said, "Show at 2am SOLD OUT," following reports that indicated he would be playing at Webster Hall.

Unfortunately, thousands of fans showed up to the venue, as the streets outside the hall was clogged with people, with cars blocking traffic. Eyewitnesses say several police cars were trying to control the crowd.

Kanye's wife Kim Kardashian was on the scene as well, as she tried to encourage her husband to call New York City mayor Bill de Blasio to shut down a few streets so fans that were waiting outside can enjoy his show, too.

Kim can be heard saying on one of her Snapchat videos, "Call the mayor and shut down a block of about four streets and everybody put some screens up so they can have a party outside. I know it's sold out already."

Unfortunately the entire event was canceled as Webster Hall issued a statement that said, "There is no late show at Webster Hall tonight. Please get home safely."

So far, neither Kanye nor Kim have made any additional statements.
