It's been 72 years since the Normandy landings of World War II, a.k.a. D-Day. In order to gain further appreciation for the military sacrifice and importance of this moment in history, there are many movies you can watch online dedicated to the iconic day.

Saving Private Ryan (1998)
 

Saving Private Ryan is arguably the most well known film to depict D-Day in its chaotic reality. The film opens with a 27-minute incredibly visceral scene of American troops landing on the beaches, and the all the subsequent warfare that ensues. The Longest Day (1962)

My Way (2011)
 

This Korean drama is one of the lesser known D-Day movies, but tells things from a different perspective. Centering on two men, one Japanese and one Korean, the film chronicles their dreams of becoming runners only to be drafted in the war. D-Day: The Sixth of June (1956)
 

Like My Way, D-Day: The Sixth of June tells a slightly different story of D-Day. The film stars Robert Taylor and Richard Todd as American and British soldiers, respectively, who reminisce about the same woman before arriving on the beaches of Normandy. Band of Brothers (2001)
 

Band of Brothers is not a movie, but it has gained a reputation as one of the most popular pieces of media about World War II in history. The miniseries chronicles the lives of the "E" Easy Company, 506th Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division, including their battles through D-Day, the liberation of Carentan and more.
