Drew Barrymore revealed that she grew a "goatee" when she was pregnant with her first daughter with husband Will Kopelman.

The 37-year-old actress spoke about the changes she experienced during her pregnancy with In Touch magazine. Barrymore gave birth to her daughter Olive Barrymore Kopelman on September 26.

"I got a wonderful little goatee - and it was red! I also got hyperpigmentation on my cheeks," she told the magazine on Thursday.

Facial hair growth is normal during pregnancy, according to experts, and it's usually developed during the first trimester. It is reportedly caused by an increase of the sex hormones known as androgens.

Now that her daughter is 6-months-old, Barrymore said that she is not in her best shape yet but plans to "take her of herself."

"I'd rather kill myself than get into a bikini right now!" Barrymore said adding:  "I take care of myself. But I'm never going to be the person who talks about diet and exercise - I would fail that conversation!" she reportedly said joking.

Barrymore showed off her baby Olive to the world for the first time on the cover of People Magazine on December 24 where the actress said motherhood was "the coolest moment of my life."

Barrymore and Kopelman, an art consultant, have been together since 2011 and she was already pregnant when they married.
