Ozzy Osbourne has responded to the rumor that the split with his wife is just a publicity stunt.

In a recent report from Radar Online, Stephen Machat, who is claimed to be the "former manager" of Ozzy, is supposedly revealing details about the news of the rocker's divorce from Sharon Osbourne. According to his quotes, he seems to believe that the reason why the split is happening is for the sake of Ozzy's band Black Sabbath.

"I would put money on a publicity stunt," the quote from Machat says. "They're on a Black Sabbath tour. She would do this in a minute. It's propaganda. Sharon is clever enough to make a story that the press would read, so all of a sudden he becomes relevant again."

And while there were rumors that Ozzy had an affair, Machat doesn't believe that, says the report.

"He's not all there," his quote says. "I would doubt that he had an affair."

It turns out that Ozzy, himself, noticed this report and took to Facebook to address it. While he didn't say anything about the 'publicity stunt' portion, he did mention that not only is Machat not a former manager of his, but he barely even knows him. In fact, they haven't seen each other in decades.

"In response to recent stories you printed with comments from Steven Machat...for the record, Mr. Machat NEVER managed me nor was he employed by me in any capacity at any time in my career," the post reads. "His representation as this is a categorical lie. I met him when he was hanging around the music industry in the early 80's, but haven't seen him in at least 30 years. He's a sad delusional rec from the 80's."
