He saw an opening which could potentially help him finally win Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) back, but Liam (Scott Clifton) will quickly learn that his actions were out of line and could cause him even more trouble than he expected on The Bold and the Beautiful.

After learning that the Reverend who married Steffy and Wyatt (Darin Brooks) may not have filed the paperwork for their marriage, Liam called Steffy to tell her the news, and is trying to convince her that it means she could finally be free to be with him again because she isn't bound to Wyatt in any legal way.

"If the marriage is not valid, it means you're free," he says to her in a preview clip for the Tuesday, June 14 episode.

However, his attempts could quickly be stopped, after Bill (Don Diamont), fresh from going to the clerk's office with Wyatt to find out the truth, arrives and gives him an ultimatum to stop messing with his brother's marriage, under the threat that he could be disowned if he doesn't.

"You can't change the past, but you can change your behavior moving forward," Bill warns in the clip.

However, Liam may not be deterred, because he still feels as if his future with Steffy was robbed from him, since he was suffering from amnesia and had been fed a fake story by Quinn (Rena Sofer), which gave Steffy and Wyatt time to get together and marry. Now, despite knowing it could destroy the rest of his future, Liam will maintain he has a valid case, because he knows how Steffy feels, and he believes she doesn't genuinely want to be with Wyatt.

"Steffy loves me more than she will ever love Wyatt, I know it and you know it!" Liam shouts in the clip.

The Bold and the Beautiful airs Monday-Friday at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
