Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are reportedly at odds over their finances.

According to a new report, the couple has been spending like crazy, and as Jolie pursues her passion to direct, her husband has reportedly been left upset by her lack of motivation to bring in some real cash.

“She was refusing to sign up for the lucrative lead role in the Maleficent sequel even though it will bring in cash they desperately need,” an insider revealed to Radar Online on Monday, adding that Jolie and Pit have been “overspending for years.”

“She really wanted to avoid doing it so she can focus on her documentaries and charity work,” noted the insider.

Recently, Jolie spent time with her family in Cambodia, where she directed the new Netflix movie, First They Killed My Father: A Daughter of Cambodia Remembers.

“That’s upset Brad, who’s pointing out the family isn’t in a position to reject a $30 million-plus paycheck,” revealed the insider.

Although Jolie eventually agreed to participate in the Maleficent sequel, a start date for the project has not yet been set and she has reporteldy been dragging her feet.

As Radar Online pointed out, Jolie previoulsy spoke of the potential sequel to the Disney film, claiming she douted there would ever be one.

“I enjoyed it. I just feel like we did this one thoroughly and I don’t think there’d be another,” she said about the first film. “I feel like this is the one, if I was going to ever do a Disney one, this is the one I wanted to do. And I think we’ve done it well.”

Two months ago, another Radar Online source claimed Pitt and Jolie were feuding over their careers and who would watch their children while they were working.

“This is tearing them apart, but Brad’s got no choice,” the insider revealed. “He’s done more than enough to help her directing career, even risking his own reputation in her schmaltzy flop By the Sea, and now it’s time to get back to work.”
