It would be a shocking twist to fans of the show, but a new fan theory suggests that not only are Cersei Lannister's (Lena Headey) days numbered on Game of Thrones, but the way she dies could be at the hands of the least expected person ever.

Cersei has a lot of enemies both in King's Landing and around Westeros, including her own brother, Tyrion (Peter Dinklage), every remaining Stark, the Tyrells, the Faith, and countless others. However, the one person who continually professes to love her, her twin brother and love, Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldeau) could be the one who actually kills her, igf a new fan theory on Reddit is to be believed.

The theory, put forth by Redditor RobertGoulet850, suggests that another part of the prophecy Cersei received as a child from Maggie the Frog will also come true, which involves her death. Maggie has already correctly predicted that Cersei would marry Robert, that she would have three children while he would have 20, her children would all have golden hair, and they would all die. On the show, both Joffrey and Myrcella have died, though Tommen (Dean-Charles Chapman) is still alive.

However, she also predicted that "the valonqar shall wrap his hands about your pale white throat and choke the life from you."

The theory points out that Valonqar is Valyrian for little brother, which Cersei has believed is Tyrion. However, Tyrion is currently on the other side of the world, and if he is ever given a chance to kill Cersei, he would likely relish a public execution, and not a death that is done in private.

Jaime meanwhile, is her twin, but it has been pointed out in the past that he was second to be born after Cersei, meaning he is also her little brother, and could be very capable of choking her, especially with his golden hand.

As for why, Jaime's entire character development is centered around his identity as the Kingslayer, which saw him stabbing the Mad King in the back after he ordered King's Landing to burn by wildfire. If Cersei, who knows the stores of wildfire are still underneath the city, were to try to do the same thing and succeed, (and based on Bran's visions of what appeared to be wildfire engulfing the city a few weeks back, she would), he could be driven to kill her.

To further back up the theory is another which explains what would propel Cersei to unleash Wildfire. She is still set to face trial for her crimes against the faith, and Margery (Natalie Dormer) is currently manipulating the Faith and Tommen by pretending to embrace the religion as atonement for her protecting Loras (Fynn Jones) by not confessing to his sins of being with other men. If her actions allow for Tommen's death, meaning the death of Cersei's third child, a distraught Cersei could try to unleash the Wildfire for revenge. After she is then caught and locked in a black cell, Jaime could sneak in through the secret doorways and choke her to stop her madness once and for all, because while he loves her, he won't let her succumb to madness.

Game of Thrones airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on HBO.
