Now that it looks like Rihanna and Drake are back on once again, we had to take a look back at the history of their alleged romance so far.

Dating rumors for the two started back in 2009 after they were said to have hooked up at Lucky Strike in New York City. Interestingly enough, Rihanna had went through a tumultuous breakup with Chris Brown just months before after Brown brutally assaulted her. Drake is said to have been the one to look out for Rihanna ever since.

In November of 2009, Rihanna coyly shut down rumros that she and Drake were together during an interview with HOT 97. But Drake seemed to confirm that they were more than friends when he did a “fill-in-the-blank styled interview with XXL Magazine the following January.

He answered, “semi-true” to the statement of “People thought I was dating Rihanna.”

Drake then rapped about the reported Lucky Strike hookup in his Fireworks song later that year.

“Who coulda predicted Lucky Strike would have you stuck with me/ I kept my wits about me, luckily/ What happened between us that night/It always seems to trouble me.”

Drake seemed to put on his heroic cape with Rihanna once again when she was featured on his Take Care hit in November of 2011. The video that following April was even more sultry than the hit song.

And Chris Brown got involved shortly after. Word spread that Brown and Drake got into a huge brawl over Rihanna in June 2012. Drake later confirmed that Rihanna was the reason he and Brown started beefing in April 2013.

He dished on the rumored relationship with Ellen DeGeneres that September.

“Yeah, great girl,” he said. “We had our moment. Always support and have love for her.”

That statement might have struck a chord with Rihanna because Drake later serenaded her at concert in March 2014.

The latest round of rumors for Drake and Rihanna started after their Work collaboration. The heated video convinced fans that they were together. And a handful of sexy performances and sightings of the two since then seems to have confirmed the news.
