The Rachael Ray Show is being sued for its treatment of an overweight teen during a weight loss segment that aired two years ago on the CBS series.

Christina Pagliarolo, who was 18 at the time of shooting, filed a suit in connection to the episode in which she was made to workout with weight loss expert Eric Viskovicz, according to E!. Pagliarolo cited negligence and emotion distress as the cause of the suit.

According to TMZ, the 260-pound teen was made to run, hike, and use the StairMaster while being yelled at and intimidated. Both during the hike and the StairMaster exercises the teen reportedly fell.

The lawsuit claims it was not "a reasonably safe course of fitness training" and the "grossly negligent, careless, reckless, wanton, and outrageous" behavior of the trainer and the show lead to "great pain, mental anguish, shock, humiliations, feelings of helplessness and desperation."

The Rachael Ray Show said in a statement that it has not received such a lawsuit.

"We haven't received this purported lawsuit but if it does materialize we will defend ourselves against it vigorously and fully expect to prevail," a spokesperson for the show said, according to The Huffington Post.
