Tom Hiddleston reportedly made his move on Taylor Swift the second he discovered she was single again.

It was just a matter of weeks before the country-pop icon moved on to the British actor after calling it quits with music producer Calvin Harris. And according to Wednesday's report from Us Weekly, Hiddleston "started reaching out" to Swift when she broke it off with Harris.

The actor also apparently sent flowers to Swift.

"He really courted her," a source said. "He liked her and saw an opportunity when she was suddenly single, and he went for it."

Even though it was soon after her break-up, Swift seemed ready to mingle.

"She's single, so of course if a cute guy reaches out who she likes, she would talk to him," the insider said. "There really isn't a better way to get over a breakup!"

And luckily for Swift, Hiddleston has a lot of qualities that she likes.

"[He] checks off a lot of boxes," the source said. "He's hot, smart, talented, British- everything she's into."

There was a previous rumor from Hollywood Life that claimed Swift wants Hiddleston to meet his mother. So odds are likely that things are getting serious.

"Taylor would love for her mom to meet Tom," a source told the site. "She's eager to introduce them to each other. Taylor and her mom are super close, so it's just a matter of time that the three of them will get to spend time together. If Taylor and Tom weren't serious, she wouldn't waste her mom's time."

Overall, everything appears to be going smoothly in the new romance. The actor is reportedly treating his lady well and she is "loving every minute right now."
