FBI obtained images of two Boston bombing "suspects" that they sent out to agents in an effort to get help identify the men, and The Boston Globe reported that the photos are expected to be released to the public on Thursday.

The images were obtained on Wednesday and an official who spoke to the publication under the condition of anonymity said that the two suspects were seen separately on videotape - each one at the two bombing sites. The bombs went off about a block away from each other and less than 20 seconds apart.

The official said the clearest images came from surveillance cameras on the same side of Boylston Street as the explosions. The official added that the reported Lord and Taylor surveillance camera had not provided clear images.

A person of interest is seen placing a bag near a Lord and Taylor near the marathon site while talking on a cellphone, only moments before the two bombs went off. The suspect is wearing a black jacket and a grey hooded sweatshirt in the video. He has a white or off-color-white baseball cap on backwards.

Pictures were released of a second potential suspect who is seen fleeing the site of one of the blasts. He is dressed in all black and his pants have been shredded. He looks from left to right before making off in the opposite direction toward the area where members of the public were aiding the injured. He was shown walking toward a mail box, dropping a package inside and walking away.

The two bomb explosions on Monday injured hundreds and killed three people: 29-year-old old Krystle M. Campbell from Medford, Mass., 8-year-old Martin Richard who attended the marathon with his family, and Boston University graduate student Lingzi Lu.

Ed Davis, press commissioner of the City of Boston, said on Monday night, "We will turn over every rock to find who who is responsible for this."
